The Borough Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. You can pay your bill at the counter or drop it in the dropbox near the flagpole.

Penalties and Fees

To avoid penalties, payments must be received by 4:30pm on the due date specified on your bill. A penalty charge of 5% for the first month and 1% for each additional month will be added to the electric, water, and sewer portion of the bill that is not paid in full. A penalty charge of 10% will be added to the refuse/recycling portion of the bill that is not paid in full.

A $35.00 fee will be charged to your account if a check is returned unpaid by your financial institution.

Disconnection of Services

Failure to pay utility bills on time could result in disconnection of services. Payment arrangements can be made prior to disconnection. For more information, call 717-738-9221 Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm.

Budget Billing

Ephrata Borough offers a budget billing program to help customers manage their utility expenses. This program generates a monthly bill for actual electric, water, sewer, refuse, and recycling charges. However, the total due will be a pre-determined monthly average based on your billing history. The average is automatically adjusted twice a year by the Borough’s utility billing software.
