Payment Requirements and Penalties
- All payments are due upon receipt of your bill.
- Payments received after the 20th of the month will incur a 10% penalty.
- A $25 fee will be charged for any returned payments.
Disconnection or Termination of Service
- Failure to pay your bill by the due date may result in disconnection or termination of service.
- A notice of delinquency will be mailed to you, giving you 10 days to make payment.
- If payment is not received, a door hanger will be left as a final notice before disconnection.
- After disconnection, a reconnection fee of $50 will be charged, along with the delinquent bill, current bill, and a $20 service fee.
High Bills and Leak Adjustments
- If you receive an unusually high bill, contact the City’s Customer Service Representative.
- Leaks can be a common cause of high water bills.
- A leak adjustment may be given if a leak has caused your bill to be at least four times the average usage and you can provide a valid receipt for repairs.

- If the test indicates an error greater than 1.5%, the City will adjust your bill accordingly.
- A $25 fee will be charged for meter tests that show an error of less than 1.5%.
